This is a list of some of the organisations and groups that provide support, advice and/or assistance to people affected by false allegations. Some groups have a broader scope and some are more specific in their support and activities.
FACT (UK)
‘Supporting Victims of Unfounded Allegations of Abuse’ is a nonprofit Company (known as FACT) and is UK wide. It is a voluntary organisation that supports people who have worked in positions such as teaching or care work, and have falsely accused of abuse or misconduct.
They have a newsletter and their website also has helpful links to relevant book and blogs.
FASO (UK)
False allegation Support Organisation is a UK-based voluntary organisation that supports people affected by false allegations of abuse.
They have links to helpful documents, for example for prisoner parole hearings and child protection documents as well as news updates and information on the criminal process in the UK.

APPEAL (UK)
“APPEAL is a charity and law practice dedicated to fighting miscarriages of justice and demanding reform. We fight the cases of individual victims of unsafe convictions and unfair sentences who cannot afford to pay for a lawyer themselves.”
Innocence Network UK
Innocence Network UK was a group “Educating to overturn and prevent the wrongful conviction of innocent people”, running from 2004 to 2015. The website still contains helpful articles about problems with the legal system and the damage to society through false allegations, and the need for legal reform in the UK.

Innocence Project (USA)
The Innocence Project in the US is one of the most well-known groups actively working to overturn wrongful convictions. They also have projects aimed at improving case law and working on policy reform, to help prevent and address wrongful convictions, as well as supporting exonerees post-release.

The Innocence Network is an affiliation of 71 organizations from all over the world. The website enables a search of the affiliated organizations by country or city, as well as an alphabetical listing.
